The half-marathon Half Pint Challenge is on! How far will you go for the kids?

Here's the deal:
Indianapolis #1036 is challenging each club to send a runner or walker to take part in the country's largest half-marathon, the Indianapolis 500 Festival Mini-Marathon. The real race is to raise more money than the other participating clubs. Raise money through pledges, donations, blackmail, whatever means necessary to raise the most money.

What's in it for you... er, the kids?
Simple... cash! We'll split the proceeds with the club who raises the most money. Oh, and did we mention the personal satisfaction of completing a half marathon with 35,000 of your closest friends? Participants and supporters will also be included in our carb-loading dinner, pre- and post-race festivities, souvenirs, and camaraderie.

So, you've never run a half-marathon before? No worries!
You'll receive training plans, tips, and resources from top Indianapolis coaches through monthly emails to help you prepare. The Mini is made up of runners of all skill levels - Kenyans to couch potatoes - so you have no excuse to sit this one out.

The course is flat and includes a lap around the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the Indy 500 (Indy Car) and Brickyard 400 (NASCAR) auto races. The route is lined with local bands, cheerleaders, cloggers, and the occasional bar hostess with refreshments to help you keep going with a smile on your face. Click here to view the course map.

Bring your support crew and cheering section and join us for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Not a runner?
If you aren't able to hit the course with us - or chicken out - come be a member of our Pit Crew. You are invited to take part in all of the weekend activities including the Friday carb-loading dinner, pre- and post-race celebrations, and other special activities on-site specifically for you during the race.
